Two Steps From Death - Death Note FCs

I've decided to finally post this story I've been working on. It takes place during the original Death Note timeline, so later on they figure out that there is someone else that has a notebook as well. And...they get involved. Kinda. Not till about halfway through, but still. It's mainly for practice, so I can get better. The story is co-written with my little sister. Angel and Justin are hers, but I made their outfits.

YES. This is supposed to look like a photo... one that was 'professionally' taken with a preset background. In the story, they will all get one, for sentimental reasons.

is my little sister. Who also has a Twitter and goes by 'Angel Meep'.


"Yea, I like colors. Lots of colors." Angel motioned to all of her plastic and rubber wrist bands.

"We can tell...it looks like you were gang banged by crayola." Case mumbled from the corner, watching the same television show as Angel. The colorful girl looked over at Case with a demonic look on her face.

"What did you say?" She said swiftly, her tone of voice changing as it was directed toward the annoying tomboy.

"Oh, nothing. I just said your sense of style is soooo cool." Case replied in monotone, not even missing a beat. Angel just 'hmphed' and looked away. Even Cassie, who was extremely gullible, knew that Case was being sarcastic about her 'cool style'.


Might as well do a quick overview of their personalities. (I plan on doing separate pictures with their full profiles later.)

Justin Spotted-Eagle

Justin was adopted by Anna Weyaus, along with Casey and Cassie. He has a very eccentric personality, sometimes freaking out over the littlest of things. He is known for oftentimes talking to inanimate objects and accusing them of wrong doings. He may act dumb, but he is far from it. Not wanting to skip grades and leave his sisters behind, he pretends to be dull. Justin hates colors, although not much is known about his reasons why. It is later revealed that he is colorblind to certain colors, which is the reason they come to believe he is insecure about it (therefore, hates colors).

Angel Meep (Staples)

Angel is a longtime friend of the Spotted-Eagle family, having met them when they were little. (Appears early on in the story, in other words) She is a very colorful person, not only in looks but personality. Her moods change drastically, causing most to steer clear of the brunette. Her love of music is what brought them to know her, as she was famous on YouTube. This quickly got the attention of Cassie and Justin.

Casey Spotted-Eagle

Casey is the older fraternal twin sister of Cassie. Though many believe she is a male, because of her choice in clothing and abrasive behavior at times. Being taller than her younger sister, and more built, she takes it upon herself to make sure she is safe from bullies. Casey prefers to be called 'Case' for short. Her demeanor is mostly cold and detached, even toward her own family. Though she does care, she just prefers not to show it. Casey, is what would call a tomboy. She prefers to do many of the things the male gender would be seen doing. Like gaming, doing the more heavy lifting chores at the farm, and she even hangs out with males more than females. (Because she finds them easier to relate to)
Casey, as it is later revealed, can 'see' information on electronics. Her first encounter almost kills her, disrupting her motor skills and making her have to go through physical therapy, not much is known at this time.

Cassie Spotted-Eagle

Cassie is Casey's younger twin sister. She is more easygoing than everyone in her little group of friends, or friend (Angel). Cassie may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she tries to make up for it with a sweet personality. (She's probably as dull as Misa, one would say...) She is what one would call a 'people pleaser', which causes her many problems throughout her life.
Cassie, ever since she was a child, could 'feel' what other people were feeling. She'd always thought it was normal, but she finds out later on that it is not. It's had some horrible effects on her, making her avoid crowded areas and physical contact. Too much of this can cause her to feel nauseous and if it gets bad enough, faint.
